I am a very passionate and creative student and would love the opportunity to further my studies at university.  I have been interested in interior design for a long time and I realise it would be a privilege to have the experience of working and learning from specialist practitioners.  During my second year at college I have been able to produce work from my own ideas and interests and am presently working on a project based around memories.  I have become really interested in how people leave a trace of themselves on clothing, and other personal objects which they use on a daily basis.  The home environment is somewhere which we lavish time and money on creating our own intimate worlds and I feel it is important to log this in some way.  My present work is based around these ideas and I am also very interested in past crafts and how we are losing some of these skills.  I think that interior design is an area which is pivotal to our history and links the past with the present. If I can gain knowledge and understanding of the industry then I feel that I would make it my goal to try to enhance through the creation of environments, people’s lives.
